Arsenal Lunches A Late Bid To Sign Manchester United Target Ivan Parisic

Arsenal have launched a late bid to sign long-term Manchester United transfer target Ivan Perisic.

The Croatia international was wanted by Jose Mourinho last summer but the move broke down with the club’s executive vice chairman Ed Woodward unwilling to meet the Serie A club’s £45million valuation.

United were again linked with a move for the 29-year-old earlier this week , but the
BBC reports Arsenal are set to move for the former Borussia Dortmund winger.

Arsenal are restricted to making loan signings this month on account of their spiralling wage bill but are prepared to take Perisic until the end of the season and include a clause with the option to buy the player outright for £35m in the summer.

Parisic enjoyed an impressive World Cup campaign, during which he scored against England in the semi-final and defeat against France in the final, but he has endured an underwhelming season, scoring just four goals in 25 appearances and is said to be open to a move.
